The Abyssal Plague Trilogy

Based on the Nentir Vale setting of Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition, The Abyssal Plague trilogy follows a band of adventurers as they struggle against a hellish plague. I wrote books 1 and 3 in the trilogy. Book 2 of the trilogy, Oath of Vigilance, was written by James Wyatt. You might also want to read The Mark of Nerath by Bill Slavicsek, which shares some of the same characters and takes place before the events of The Abyssal Plague.

The Temple of Yellow Skulls

Dungeons & Dragons: The Abyssal Plague Trilogy, Book 1 (Wizards of the Coast, 2011)

BORN OF THE LIQUID ABYSS, THE WORLD KNOWS A NEW AFFLICTION…

The mysterious cleric Kri Redshal has come to the Nentir Vale on a mission. He claims allegiance to the Order of Vigilance, custodians of the Voidharrow—a malefic crystalline liquid taken from the heart of a dead Abyss.

Hakken Raid was given a ket to the mysteries of an ancient rakshasa temple and the treasures it contains. What it unlocks has the power to change not only his life, but the entire world.

Albanon, heir to the last keeper of the Voidharrow, finds himself at the center of a centuries-old struggle to contain an otherworldly evil. Is it his fault the substance is lost?

As the evidence of the transformative power of the Voidharrow spreads like a plague throughout the land, our heroes rush to uncover the extent of its infection. What they find is a new kind of evil.

The Eye of the Chained God

Dungeons & Dragons: The Abyssal Plague Trilogy, Book 3 (Wizards of the Coast, 2012)

FROM THE DARK OF A RUINED UNIVERSE, THE EYE OF THE CHAINED GOD SEES ALL…

Tormented by his near transformation at the hands of the plague demon prince Vestapalk, Albanon has retreated to Moorin’s tower, seeking answers—and solace. He is the last member of the Order of Vigilance, touched by both the Voidharrow and Tharizdun. He stood on the precipice of madness and saw into the heart of the Abyss.

The Nentir Vale is rampant with plague demons while heroes Shara, Uldane, Roghar, and Tempest scout for the source of the pestilence. With Vestapalk growing ever stronger, they know they have to act soon. The world cannot afford to wait any longer.

As they journey toward the greatest concentration of demons, they learn they are on the right path, and they gain an unlikely ally. From beyond the reaches of the universe, Tharizdun looks on.
