Ebooks-a-poppin’

As we countdown to the announcement of Apple’s tablet and the much-hyped possibility that it will revolutionize/dominate the growing ebook market, I thought I’d share some of my own ebook news. Wizards of the Coast is moving into making more of their novels available for ebook readers and two of mine are available now! Buy The Doom of Kings and Word of Traitors now — no word yet on The Tyranny of Ghosts for June, but here’s hoping it’s coming!

Kindle – on Amazon.com only. Canadian (and British) users, we’re still being shafted by Amazon as there’s no sign of any WotC Kindle products yet on Amazon.ca or .co.uk. Amazon.com users can, however, search “wizards of the coast kindle editions” to bring up the full list of WotC titles available.

Sony Reader, other ePub readers, and smartphones – you can find only¬†Word of Traitors on Sony’s Reader Store currently, but both The Doom of Kings and Word of Traitors are available at Kobo now! If you read on a smartphone, including iPhone, Blackberry, Palm Pre, or Android, ¬†Kobo has free aps available for you. (BTW, Kobo is also worth joining because they almost always have a short term $1-$1.50 off code available, which is a nice little incentive)

Personally I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the Apple tablet sticks with the ePub format because it means my Sony Reader won’t be instantly obsolete, but we’ll have to see!
